Traditional Role Play Model Team

Select a particular stakeholder of the Regional DoPN you wish to represent
    Owner Perspective (Member of Congress, Taxpayer, Voter, Financial Supporter,..)
    Practitioner (DoPN Secretary, DoPN Officer, ...)
    Service Recipient (President, etc. )

Specific tasks are linked to Project Goals and Objectives.  

1. Positive perception of the Department of Peace and Nonviolence

1.1  Demonstrate why America needs a DoPN and a National strategy for reducing domestic violence.  Use a key issue as an example.
1.2 Demonstrate that the DoPN will add value to the local community / region / country on a key issue
1.3 Demonstrate how the DoPN will help integrate the ongoing efforts of Partner Departments related to a key issue
   1.3.1 How a national strategy on the key issue will be more effective and better utilize our National resources
   1.3.2 How the DoPN will complement the efforts of Partner Departments on a key issue
   1.3.3 How the DoPN will help coordinate / integrate ongoing programs
   1.3.4  How the DoPN will fill in gaps where issues are not being adequately addressed.
1.4 Demonstrate to Practitioners that the DoPN will have a positive impact on existing human services programs dealing with a key issue

2. Revised Legislation that is more inclusive

2.1 Construct a Regional Model of the DoPN using the current Legislation
2.2 Exercise the Model on a key issue to determine its function and potential effectiveness
2.3 Evaluate the effectiveness of the Regional DoPN on a key issue as Modeled
2.4 Propose changes to the Department / Legislation on a key issue

3. Demonstrate how a National strategy using nonviolent alternatives will complement existing domestic violence reduction programs in Partner Departments

3.1 Exercise the Model to demonstrate how Partner Departments will collaborate on a key issue and how the Federal Intergovernmental Committee will function and how the other Committee will function
3.2 Evaluate the effectiveness of these interface groups as they pertain to the key issue
3.3 Propose changes to the Department / Legislation, if appropriate

4. Demonstrate how the DoPN will complement existing local domestic violence reduction programs

4.1 Exercise the Model on a key issue to demonstrate the need for local practitioners for an integrated implementation of Best Practices
4.2 Evaluate the effectiveness of Regional Offices and the use of local resources related to a key issue
4.3 Propose changes to the Department / Legislation, if appropriate
